THIS WORKSHOP IS FULL, No more tickets available. Date: Saturday and Sunday, December 4-5, 2021 Time: 1-4pm both days Location: Vern Burton Community Center meeting rooms Cost: $65/70 Participants must be 16 years old or older. No exceptions. Proof of Full Vaccination required + Masks required for entirety of workshop. In this workshop, we’ll teach you how to: • Use and adapt the “sandwich” technique or use a “free build” approach to create your 3-D frame. • Make basic joints using hot glue and masking tape. • Paper your piece using white glue, translucent drafting paper, decorative mulberry papers, and other surfacing materials. Your workshop ticket will also get you a free ticket to the Wintertide Festival of Lights on December 11th, where you are invited to join the Community Lantern Parade. We hope to see you there! About the Instructor: Nichole Rose learned how to create illuminated sculptures, locally known as “luminaries”, in an Olympia community art studio back in 2006. She has been an instructor for luminary workshops and has been involved in organizing local community luminary arts events since 2010.
